Closing dates :
Most Diplomas,Honours and Masters Degrees: 30 November.
However dates for some postgraduate programmes may be earlier than this. Applicants are advised to contact the academic programme or School directly.
Check that you have:
- Completed application form with non-refundable application fee of R340 (SADC and other countries in Africa) or US$100 (countries outside of Africa)
- Certified copies of degree certificates and academic records/transcripts, with translated copies (if original certificates are not in English)
- Copy of evaluation certificate from SAQA (if available)
- Professional registration certificates, where applicable
- Certified copy of identity document or passport
- Applicants applying for a research Masters degree/PhD should submit a brief proposal and curriculum vitae
- Proof of proficiency in English if English is a second language - TOEFL, with a score of 550, or IELTS with an overall band score of 7.0. (See detailed explanation in International Student Handbook)

Academic Entry Requirements
Candidates should have completed a four year Bachelor’s Degree, OR a three year degree plus a one year full time Honours Degree in the relevant field to enroll for a Masters Degree. All foreign credentials have to be evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) prior to submitting an application to the university.
