Study Abroad Programme
A Study Abroad student refers to a student that spends one or two
semesters at an institution abroad and pays tuition fees to the host
institution. UKZN offers a semester study abroad programme for students
wishing to experience a diversity of cultures. International students
can take undergraduate or postgraduate courses. Students pay dollar fees
per module per semester. Students generally register for four courses
which is a full credit load at UKZN. Interested students can apply
directly or through a partner programme with UKZN and their home
institution. (Home institution refers to the institution abroad and host
institution refers to UKZN)
Students that are currently enrolled at a university and have
completed at least two semesters of tertiary education at the time of
registration can apply for the Study Abroad Programme. Students need to
meet the academic requirements set by both the host and home university.
