Undergraduate Applications

Semester 1 (Feb-Jun): Architecture/ Nursing/ Engineering/Health Sciences/Science - 30 September (in the year prior to study)
Semester 1 (Feb-Jun): Education/Humanities/ Law/Management/SFP-31 October (in the year prior to study)
Semester 2 (Aug-Nov): some programmes accept second semester intake –30 April (in the year of study)
Application Fee
A non-refundable fee of ZAR 380 (SADC and other African countries) or US$115 (countries outside Africa) is payable before applications are submitted. Application fees can be paid by electronic transfer/bank deposit.

Putting together the Application Package

Check that you have:

  • Copies of school leaving certificates and translated copies (if original certificates are not in English)
  • Certified copy of passport
  • Proof of proficiency in English if English is a second language - TOEFL, with a score of 550, or IELTS with an overall band score of 6.0. (See detailed explanation in 2016 Fee Booklet)
  • Proof of health insurance. (See detailed explanation in 2016 Fee Booklet).
